Thermodynamic framework for variance-based non-local constitutive models

چکیده

The present work deals with the development of a framework dedicated to construction constitutive models non-local internal variables. Such variables allow considering impact microstructural changes on current state material point. Non-locality is introduced by considering, not only spatial average, but also variance an variable in relations. proposed relies continuum thermodynamics construct set equations. allows including some information regarding distribution when constructing for thermomechanical applications. In contrast gradient-type models, this strategy does require additional equilibrium equations and boundary conditions. For purpose illustration, numerical examples are presented. According results, can be used circumvent difficulties associated excessive localization or consider size effects.

a study on thermodynamic models for simulation of 1,3 butadiene purification columns

attempts have been made to study the thermodynamic behavior of 1,3 butadiene purification columns with the aim of retrofitting those columns to more energy efficient separation schemes. 1,3 butadiene is purified in two columns in series through being separated from methyl acetylene and 1,2 butadiene in the first and second column respectively. comparisons have been made among different therm...

Variational Framework for Non-Local Inpainting

Image inpainting aims to obtain a visually plausible image interpolation in a region of the image in which data is missing due to damage or occlusion. Usually, the only available information is the portion of the image outside the inpainting domain. Besides its numerous applications, the inpainting problem is of theoretical interest since its analysis involves an understanding of the self-simil...

Mathematical Models for Local Non - Textureinpaintingstony

Inspired by the recent work of Bertalmio, Sapiro, Caselles, and Ballester Technical report, ECE-University of Minnesota (1999)] on digital inpaintings, we develop general mathematical models for local non-texture inpaintings. Inside smooth regions, inpaintings are connected to the harmonic and bi-harmonic extensions, and inpainting orders are deened and analyzed. For in-paintings involving the ...
